Throwin Elbows

Brand: English Rose

Brand: Uniq

Brand: Cotton Candy

Recently, I've noticed that fashion has been emphasizing the elbows. I just got all of these new sweaters at a local boutique, which all have some sort of detailing in the elbows. The first one has sequins. The second one has elbow patches. And the last one is my favorite: elbow slits. All are unique and different in their own way. I really like this new fad that's going on (as you can tell by the 3 purchases in a week). Have you seen any other different styles of elbow details?

Warm Breeze, High Knees

I just recently got this new jean shirt as a gift. I wanted to do something different, so I paired it with fancy little black dress. It doesn't get that cold here in California, so this is considered my winter outfit.
Happy Monday Everyone!

Maroon. Burgundy. Wine.

Whatever you may call this color, it is so popular right now. I am seeing it everywhere, and it has become one of my favorite colors. It looks good on everyone. I bought a pair of burgundy Eunina skinny jeans last week, and i have already worn them multiple times.

Try and mix things up this winter, not that California ever has a real winter. But instead of always wearing blacks and greys, put some color in your outfit. You could even wear a maroon scarf or carry a wine colored purse if you are too afraid to step out of your comfort zone.

Even the celebs are catching on to the trend!
Check out Bar Refaeli, Blake Lively, and Naomie Harris showing their love
for maroon!

Simple. Funky. Cool.

I recently purchased this new Aztec sweater made by Lush. I am absolutely obsessed with it, and have been wanting to wear it everyday! Here are a few different ways to wear a big open sweater:

SIMPLE

FUNKY

COOL

In my first look, I am wearing a black American Apparel t-shirt paired with burgundy Eunina skinny jeans. I dressed it up with a pair of black heels. In my second look, I am wearing a neon yellow American Apparel tank top with black jean shorts layered over tights and high knee socks. I kept it funky with a beanie and combat boots. In my last look, I am wearing a black Brandy & Melville dress with a pair of black high top Converse. I love piecing together new outfits by keeping my simple, funky, and cool style.

White Skulls

Top - Olivaceous,  Jeans - Just USA, Scarf - flea market, Bracelet - Brandy&Melville, Boots - Target

I can finally start wearing my scarves now that it's getting colder.  I have been looking for a skull scarf everywhere, and I came across this one at a flea market. My black boots are from target and have lasted me two years. When I saw how cute they were at such a cheap price, I had to add them to my collection of boots.
Happy Monday!

To The Max!

So I have an obsession with Maxi Skirts. They are beyond comfortable, and I probably own way too many. I just recently purchased this one and the colors are perfect for fall. It is a simple look that you can wear during the day and night.  I just added a few of my favorite necklaces and bracelets :)

To Infinity and Beyond...

A new obsession has started again.  The infinity symbol is everywhere.  I love how simple it is and the message that it portrays to me: "forever." I own an infinity ring. I wear it everyday.

I have seen it on t-shirts, jewelry, and even tattoos.
Where else have you seen it?

Flower Power

Floral High Waisted

I purchased these pants about a month ago at a local boutique.  Never in a million years did I think that I was going to be wearing high waisted floral pants.  I didn't think that I could pull off anything high waisted. But the key is proportions. You have to find the right top and show just a sliver of skin. The pants are a little long on me, but they work with a pair of wedges.

New Beginnings

Welcome to Kay Smile! This is my favorite time of year, so I decided to start my blog with everyone.
I love Halloween, dancing, painting my nails, the beach, skiing, puzzles, and everything in between. Each person has their own unique style.
Here is mine.
